Concept
Ammarin Kuntawong is an artist from northern Thailand, the region known as Lanna. His fondness for his
area of origin, his formative experiences and the Lanna landscape inspire his practice as a printmaking
artist working predominantly in etching. The culture, distinctiveness, and detail within the stories of the
Lanna landscape are absorbed by Ammarin, and in his work these are visually recreated in combination
with imagined imagery.
